I am not following the quake scene 100% at the moment, because I am trying to do the Santa bit for my family. However, I am still logging hits on my white board.  Focusing on a small section, I noticed I am getting multiple hits on 75 - 76 West, and the same on 78 - 79 West .... but nothing on 77 West !.  Meaningless on it's own, but detected signals usually produce an accepted amount of overlap, due to refraction.   I mention this because I had the same thing happen before the NZ event, 172 E and 174 E left the board ... 173 remained empty !.   Quick analysis of space data suggests Cuba is still going to play a part here, possibly the Cayman Trench region.

A simple observation ...

A 7.6 occurred in Chile at 14:22:27 ut today (25th Dec).  At the time of event, the centre of the moon was on 77' 40' W .......... Coincidence no !.

The quake was at 73.9W

I was wondering if I was going to get Scrooged  Wink ... I was implying combination " not location "

A large structure has appeared In the Ace proton monitor, 2 hours after the event,
Preliminary calculations suggest a 5.5+ event possible in the triple junction region of Southwest Indian Ocean
bearing 73' E by 23' S in the next 7 days.

Hows your day going Roger, do you guy's have mold wine and mince pies or is that just a brit thing ?

My opening post here, shows I attempted a combination to determine time and place ... it didn't work.  The Idea was to use my formula ( 7.5 degrees or 30 minutes fore and aft of the sun, as described in computer program thread) and combine it with the time of the sun's lowest position South.  I didn't spot this earlier, but this is how this combo has worked;  At 16:23:06 ut on 19th Dec, (to the second) the sun reached it's most Southerly point of 23' 26' S, longitude of centre was 66' 25' W.  If you add the 7.5 degrees as described in my formula, what longitude would the fore position of the sun be on ??

It's a serious question, but it won't go anywhere if detail is not paid attention too !  the moon coincidence was in reference to my post on 22nd, relating to absent signal data on 77' W... not this 7.6 Earthquake.
