How do earthquakes happen?
The movement of tectonic plates is no reason for
triggering earthquakes. They just tucked under one
another but do not cause earthquakes. Earthquakes are
unlocked from the combined motion of the moon, shake the
Earth's axis and synchronizing it with shaking tidal
forces. The proof is posted in this forum in General

Richter. Friction between tectonic plates does
earthquakes, but only accumulated seismic strain. The
layers are raised before the earthquake and only this.

I've avoided reading Richter posts. This one is nonsense, of course. I post because the lack of posts here by scientists and serious amateur scientists for the last half year or more makes it difficult for me to post. So, I have barely posted. But if there is a big earthquake in the USA or northwest Turkey, especially on an area I am familiar with, it might be useful for me to post. It would be good if the Earth Science part of this be reserved for science.

It is unfortunate that the board has languished. It is in good part my own fault for not participating more.
Anyway, I call total bunk. It has already been shown that Lunar tides have little to no effect of faults. It is demonstrably provable that the Earth's axis has NOT titled. Heck, I made a video about it 7-8 years ago.... Is Earth's Axis Changing?
And either Richter made an error in his post, or his logic is tautological, since the proof referenced is the post itself.
