So, there was a recent 4.8 near Witchita. What's going on in this region?

Basically, fracking. That area and south towards central Oklahoma has been seeing an increase in quake activity over the past few years. Although the jury's still out, it's looking more and more like it's due to fracking, based on the correlation with the increase in fracking during the same time span and the shallow depth and proximityu to fracking locations.
