3 X-class solar flares in last day and half - Island Chris - 10-26-2014

There have been three X-class solar flares in the last day and a half. The disturbed area these are coming from is supposed to be the largest in almost a quarter century (I forget where I read that). Not sure if this is the largest sunspot on Brian's eclipse photo on the other category.

Yes, it's the same one.

There's another very nice picture which shows the sunspot on http://www.spaceweather.com/ where a giant rooster is competing with the sunspot. Smile
