Is everyone alive? - Skywise - 07-27-2014

No posts for a week. But not much has been happening in the seismic world of major note. The 6.0 in the Atlantic was interesting, but not unusual being a fracture zone on the Mid Atlantic Ridge.

Roger and I have been working on a more detailed analysis of David Nabhan's claims. We're working independently software wise, but sharing results to make sure our different approaches come up with the same answer. If we do, then it's unlikely we made a mistake somewhere. And, it doesn't help when the ANSS catalog web search engine, USGS map search, AND the raw catalog have errors. It mostly involves nuclear tests.

I've also been busy with a bunch of "life happens" stuff.

I hope all is well with everybody else.

Still kicking. Just not much to say right now; waiting on other posts to reply to or events to happen. I'm working with an undergraduate intern on evidence for glaciation in Ross Sea Antarctica back about 34 million years ago (when CO2 was higher than today, but maybe comparable to what it will be by end of century).

I should say more on the earth science sub-list. Trying to figure out what to so for my AGU abstract.
