I notice that there are at least a couple of new members over the last few months or more. Feel welcome to post. New posts can result in discussions that might be interesting. We are a couple of retired earth scientists, a research geologist (me), amateur scientists, non scientists who are interested in science. Some of us tend to have little patience with pseudo-science. I think that politicians denying facts and reality is a bit too close to witch-burning for my taste.

I agree. It would be nice to get an introduction. Maybe I should put that in the registration rules notice - "Must post an introductory message!".
